Explaining the Meditation Experiment

I hate summarizing what I'm going to do beforehand, but here goes anyway.

I've noticed since finding my faith that motivation comes easier, when I am active in my faith, meaning when I meditate. I'm trying to overcome a pretty major problem with anxiety that makes it near impossible for me to do the most mundane and important of tasks, like showering, cooking, and homework. Near impossible, because I still do them, but sometimes I'll have a panic attack in the middle of doing it. Meditation somehow eases those frustrations. I just don't feel the anxiety in the first place. I don't know the reason, but I want to use it to my advantage if I can.

I am also NOT typically a morning person, something that gets worse when I don't meditate. While many experiments start with a control, I take the last month of my life as a control. I only meditated once. I ordered pizza at least five times. I skipped two weeks of assignments in a couple of my classes, and had both essays that were due in that time turned in late. I gained 4 lbs back. I drank almost no water because going to the tap to pour it gives me anxiety as opposed to a soda. It's interesting - the anxiety is tied into everything healthy for me. Maybe I should use that as a sign of what's good for me. But I digress! While not meditating and just trying to do it all on my own, I think we can see what happens. If I feel later that for my own scientific analysis I need to do a control month, I will.

Daily, in the morning, I will meditate and track the meditation here, including what music I listened to.
I will also in the morning track my weight, every day. I don't have a digital scale but my scale is enough to show fluctuations.
At the end of the day, I will track the amount of water I drank that day. I will also report on consumed calories, fat, carbs, and sugar.
If for some reason I don't meditate on a day, I will track that and the rest of the stats to see if small lapses make a difference.

At the end of July, I will graph my results for meditating and non-meditating days. I will graph water intake, weight, and diet.
